Well, it is officially Autumn now, and it is starting to look like it a little bit around here. Leaves are starting to turn colors and fall from the trees – and the apples are crunchy and sweet! I have a new video and song just right for this time of year for you today – but first I just want to tell you that I’m going to be performing in New York City at the end of October!
I am thrilled to be part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s World Culture Festival this year, on Saturday, October 26th! Their theme is DANCE and throughout the day they will have activities and performances that link art and dance – I’ll be doing the Story Times at 1pm and 2 pm for the little ones. We will Rap, Rock, Read & Dance together! You can find more details here: https://www.metmuseum.org/events/programs/met-celebrates/festivals-and-special-programs/world-culture-2019
And now – it’s time to celebrate Fall with the Apple Picking Song also known as The Apple Pickers Reel! A simple, easy-to-learn song that you can pretend to pick apples to, skip around the room to and/or simply just have a great Fall themed song to sing. I’ve got some fun footage of apple picking in this video to get your kids ready for it! 😉
Here’s the lyrics if you want to sing along:
Hey ho! Don't it feel so fine Standing in the orchard in the bright sunshine! Hey Ho! Don't you feel so free standing under the apple tree!
Enjoy! And please share this video and song with anyone who you think might find it fun and useful!
Wishing you a wonderful, sweet week and I’ll see you next Tuesday in your inbox!
