Good morning & Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday last week (if you’re in the USA) and that you’re enjoying the summertime!

Last week my husband and i packed and packed and packed up our house in Maplewood, NJ, loaded all our stuff into PODs, and officially and fully moved out of our house and New Jersey on Friday. The whole process of getting our house ready for sale (de-cluttering, putting things in storage, staging), putting it on the market (Open Houses and showings while Piper was super sick with Strep – TWICE!), and then then the actual process of the sale and closing is worthy of several blog posts of their own – lol! But that’s for another time. For now I’m super psyched to be ON VACATION with my family in South Carolina enjoying some sand, surf, sun and fun!

But I’m back in Delaware TOMORROW to start PART TWO of my summer library tour! Who’s coming to Rap, Rock  & Read with me? Here’s where to join me LIVE this week IN DELAWARE:

July 11th

10 am Greenwood Library

2 pm Seaford Library

July 12th

10 am Kent County Public Library

2 pm Laurel Public Library

5 pm Delmar Public LIbrary

July 13th

11 am Appoquinimink County Library

2 pm New Castle County Library

It’s gonna be SO MUCH FUN!!!

Now – since I’m out on vacation, I took time off from editing. But found some inspiration yesterday as my sister-in-law and family were fishing on the beach and caught: a Baby Shark. So, of course, since yesterday I’ve been singing “Baby Shark – do do, do do di-do…”

As a result, though, I have not just one but TWO Baby Shark videos for you today. One is mine – and one is a fun, hip take on the same song.  I released my Baby Shark video over 5 years ago. It is super fun and easy to move along to – kids LOVE IT. You can find tons of versions of this song all over YouTube. (I made a preschool friendly versions that DOES NOT have a “shark attack” in it. 🙂 )

And although I’m aware of many, many videos of Baby Shark, this week I got turned on too my most favorite version ever: a group called Mastermind doing a “dance challenge” to Baby Shark. Grown-ups – it’s hilarious.  I’m really putting it on here for YOU today. The kids will enjoy it – but I definitely got a bigger kick out of it than Piper did (although she asked to see it about three times in a row.)  So first up – Miss Nina’s version of Baby Shark:

And now – Mastermind’s version!

Enjoy!!! I’ll be back in your inbox next Tuesday with updates on the next part of the Summer Library Tour and I’ll be keeping you posted on our journey as we move out to Minneapolis, MN at the beginning of August!!

Enjoy the videos and your week and I’ll see you soon!

xoxo
