HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y’ALL!!
I realize it’s still two days away, but I’m sure (if you’re in the USA) you are either deep in preparations for Thursday, or in wrap-up mode in your school/classroom – right?
My in-laws will be arriving a little later today and we will be hosting Thanksgiving for the first time in our lives! It will be small – just five of us. But I’m totally going to break out “the good dishes” for it – LOL!
Last week I had SO MUCH FUN at The Berry Patch schools out here in MN. I had the joy of doing for performances for them throughout the week and we sang and danced about Turkeys, Togetherness, The Farm, Family & FUN!
And I’ve been having a ton of fun with YOU this month! There’s been new dance/movement videos, new compilations and new songs! How’s your MOVEmber going? I’ve been moving my body and even pushing some personal boundaries like THIS. And yesterday I woke up to a lovely Facebook notification that my song, Grateful, was Song Of The Day over on Playtime Playlist.
Meanwhile – I realized that we’ve been dancing and singing about Gratitude & Turkeys & Moving our bodies – but here on the blog we’ve not talked about the farm much! SO – let’s do it! I’ve got TWO version of Old MacDonald for you today. The first is with my friend and GRAMMY Award Winner (2019) Lucky Kalantari and her son Darius. We perform Lucy’s arrangement of Old MacDonald called Jazz MacDonald, and it is SUPER FUN!! This video was shot at Youtube Studios in NYC:
And then – we’re taking it WAY BACK to my Old MacDonald video from 2012!!
And then, lastly, because Thanksgiving is also about Family and love, here’s my song version of Anna Dewdney’s Llama Llama Red Pajama:
Lots of fun to be had today!!! And now I’m off to clean the house – LOL!!
Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving if you are in the US and/or celebrate it!
I am deeply grateful for you and your support & your readership & viewership & friendship & for being a part of my life and being a person who also believes in spreading joy & love through music, movement and learning.
Have a wonderful week & holiday and I’ll see you in your inbox next Tuesday!
