I had a lot of fun with this classic Nursery Rhyme this week and am excited to share it with you.
At this time of year preschool curriculums and library story times are often focused on Winter themes and concepts. I’ve been exploring Hot & Cold with my groups – the cold snow that melts when it gets warm, feeling cold and warming up with to food, etc.
So I took the old Nursery rhyme Peas Porridge Hot, put it to a hip-hop beat, and added some lyrics and melody to bring you this:
Most likely you and your kids already know the words – making them feel like pro “Rappers” immediately! 🙂
If they’re not familiar with this Nursery Rhyme they will pick it up quick, and I’ll also put the lyrics below.
In the video I go over an easy “slap clap” rhythm to do along with me – but feel free to move along any way you want to!
