Hi there!!

First I just want to say, that if you notice strangeness on my website right now, I apologize. We recently did a WordPress update and all of my fonts and pictures are now a bit, um, “off”.

I’m working on it – but it will be a bit of a process before we are back to normal. Hopefully this post is AOK though!

This week we’ve got some fun with the book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle!

It’s that time of year, and there is SO much we can do with this story. Recently during my Tunes & Tales Online Program (more info on that HERE ) I took the middle part of the story – when he eats and eats and eats – and sang it to the tune of Alice The Camel. So, voila! I made it this week’s Miss Nina Video. You can watch the video and follow along with your book, or simply use this idea in your classroom – whatever works!

Additionally, a few years back I did a similar thing. I made a song ABOUT The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the tune of Old MacDonald. Likewise, you can watch and read, sing and move along with me – or take the idea and employ it in your home or classroom:

And then, of course, one of my most favorite things to do was to have a Very Hungry Caterpillar picnic (or indoor snack) with all the foods from the book. It makes for a GREAT birthday party theme/idea too!  And, by the way, if you’re trying to figure out how to celebrate you little on’s birthday while Social Distancing, I’d be happy to provide musical entertainment via Zoom (or some platform) while you celebrate you birthday virtually. Contact me HERE.

Enjoy the videos! And if you want to get alerted AS SOON as they are out on youtube – be sure and SUBSCRIBE to the Miss Nina Weekly Video Show! You can do that easily by clicking HERE

Have a wonderful week!
