Good morning, Friends!

The photo above was taken just moments ago at @7:15 am this morning. I am on my final vacation of the summer with my family and I am so grateful to wake up to this view, in this setting!

I have new songs swirling in my head, fun musical plans being made for Fall – but right now I am relaxing and getting refreshed.

I’ve also become a little obsessed with American Ninja Warrior – Lol! Obsessed/inspired. I’ve been sort of secretly wanting to try obstacle courses (at least training for them) and turns out we have a Ninja gym five minutes away from our new house! So a couple of weeks ago I dropped in:

No – I won’t be sharing any videos yet as I am, um, not that skilled – LOL!  But I really love having something to train for – a fitness goal – rather than just feeling obligated to exercise. So – I will keep you all posted! I even got Piper involved. She goes to a Wiggly Warrior class and has already made it up the Warp Wall once! (me, too!)

With this on my mind, and thinking about what song or video to share today I kept thinking about “Muscle and bone, muscle and bone…” the song that Katherine Dines & I performed last year together on the Video show.  Katherine is a children’s music artist, entertainer, educator and Keynote speaker out of Colorado. She’s one of the loveliest people I’ve met AND she has a new album coming out! This is the blurb about it from her website:

“Katherine Dines, a Grammy-nominated independent family music artist, presents a new album of 13 songs and some interesting stories and facts about how people around the world celebrate holidays. Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta™ Holidays is meant for growing families, and it will be available August 26th from CDBaby, and various online music retailers.”  You can listen to samples and get more info HERE.

Here is the song and video that’s been playing over and over in my head, Muscle and Bone:

It’s such a wonderful song for the little ones. An easy tune to learn and sing along to, and lots of fun motions to do a long with us. And meanwhile talking all about our muscles and bones!

If you like this video and/or blog post, please share it with other friends and colleagues who may also find it fun and useful for their children and lives!

I’ll be back in your inbox next Tuesday. Perhaps with a song I’ll record her at the beach…. 🙂

Wishing you a wonderful week!

XOXO
