Hiya Friends!
This week’s song is new to me, put has apparently been around for a while. When I searched the internet to learn the tune (I found the sheet music to it in some music books I have at home, but wanted to hear just exactly how others do it) I stumbled upon load of videos of people singing this song in all different ways. My favorite? A teacher named Pamela Sunshine teaching the song in front of her computer. When you get a chance be sure to look her up on YouTube!
This is definitely a silly song with a catchy tune. Kids will love it for the nonsense words, the silly movements and the sing-song melody. If you have a very young child, put them on your lab and bounce them up and down for the “Ba-Rump” part. If your kids are older, they can either bounce in their own seat or leap like a frog around the room.
