Kids Songs for Valentine’s Day

It’s nearly Valentine’s Day! So I’ve gathered for you six love songs for Kids that are fun to sing and move along to and make great Valentine’s Day songs!

First up, sing & sign to LOVE GROW. The perfect Valentine’s Day song because it sweetly explains how love grows, multiplies and that the more you give, the more comes back to you:

 

 

 

 

2. I love this very short and sweet fingerplay called Have A Heart! Children feel so accomplished when they learn to make the heart shape with their fingers!

 

 

 

 

 

3: Colors of You is my original love song from the album Every Day’s Your Birthday! It’s love song in which I use Color Idioms to express my love. It’s also about loving all the colors of someone: their every mood – good or bad, their thoughts, their feelings, their opinions, their likes and dislikes – the WHOLE SPECTRUM of who they are. Radical Love & Acceptance!

4. SKINNAMARINK! The ever-classic Skinnamarink (also known as Skiddamarink and various other versions of the word….) is a favorite any time of the year, but especially on Valentine’s Day. Follow along with the motion and sing along!

 

 

 

 

 

5. Way back in 2014 in the early days of the Miss Nina Weekly Video Show, I had friends and fellow kids musicians over to my apartment in Brooklyn, NYC to shoot episodes. This one with Amelia Robinson of Mil’s Trills has been a fan favorite (as well as a favorite of mine!) for a long time. It’s Amelia’s original song called You Have My Heart. It’s all about love – but we also have some fun with body part identification!

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. And finally – the most recent episode of the Miss Nina Weekly Video Show: Tony Chestnut! Have fun with this movement song identifying body parts. BUT – it has an “I Love You” in it – so it qualifies for Valentine’s Day!
