February is Black History Month!! I want to introduce you to a few incredible kids music artists making wonderful, educational and FUN music about BHM!

Let’s start with Fyütch!

Just recently on the Nick Cannon’s show and the Today Show, Fyütch is a rapper and teaching artist – and a Grammy nominated recording artist! – making awesome music, I’ve got two of this songs featured here. First:

BLACK WOMEN IN HISTORY

And next: the song that sort of started this part of his journey for him: the BLACK HISTORY SONG:

Another favorite of mine is Miss Jessica! Her show Miss Jessica’s World on YouTube has all sorts of songs you’ll love – sing-along songs, dance songs, learning songs and, of course, this epic song:

BLACK PEOPLE WHO CHANGE THE WORLD

Another awesome, talented change-maker and music artist is Kymberly Stewart! Her latest video is a 12 minute episode perfect of early childhood full of songs and puppets and humor. Here’s her latest video:

WELCOME TO THE BLACK HISTORY MUSEUM

And finally, we’ve got GRAMMY nominated artist, professor and community advocate Pierce Freelon with his song:

LEVAR BURTON

There’s a wealth of incredible black kids music artists to explore – this is just a short list to get you started. Enjoy! Be sure to follow and support these artists on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc!

Happy Black History Month!

XOXO
