I’m feeling pretty dedicated to getting organized these days.
And the key, as I’m learning, is all about planning.
Whether it’s chores, vacations, business goals – I’ve learned the hard way that planning makes everything better.
Meal planning is our latest new habit. It really does feel great to have everything planned, cooked and ready to go for the week. It’s been making mornings smoother and more manageable, helping us to not waste money, and it’s been better for our health overall.
So there I am today, in the kitchen with Piper – post nap/daycare and trying to catch up on the cooking I *should* have done yesterday. I’m making soup, baking some healthy snacks of the week – and also trying to be an attentive mom by having a tea party in between tasks and keeping Piper from playing with electrical outlets.
But even with all the planning, with a toddler under foot one feels crazed. So, while trying to simply move some toys OUT of the kitchen so that I wouldn’t break my neck, I hurriedly tripped down the step to the den, banged my baby toe and broke it.
Wah-wah.
Total bummer. And more of a bummer is that although I’m desperate to get organized with my video shoots – I’m still often doing them on a Monday night before sending them out to you on a Tuesday.
All this to say, that once the broken toe entered the picture, all bets were off. I’m just sitting here icing this baby off and on and hoping that I’ll be able to hobble quickly to work tomorrow.
So, in lieu of a new video, yet again here’s a video playlist for you of kids’ Animal Songs. Just hit play and get treated to 24 consecutive Miss Nina videos!
Enjoy and I’ll see you next week with a new video!
