You know, I actually remember very vividly the day I first heard this song.
I was at some sort of daycare/daycamp situation. I don’t remember what the exact circumstances as to why I was there…(summer? a random day of extended day care? A class I was signed up for?) but I remember that I felt new to a situation where everyone else seemed like they knew what was going on. Including this song!
I remember the room was blue and red, and there was a man with a guitar, and he starting singing this song, and EVERYONE chimed in! How did they know it? I’d never heard it before?!
And most baffling – why were they saying this crazy name and saying that it was their name, too?! 🙂
It is a complete nonsensical song – but boy is it a crowd pleaser and soooo fun to sing-along to once you know the words. And who doesn’t love a nice, big, LOUD “LA LA LA LA LA LA LA”?!
