Just when I think I’ve heard them all – I learn a new kids song!
This song, based on the melody of Carnival of Venice, is a silly sing-along, move-along song.
The lyrics are easy to learn, and the movements are simple. And much like the familiar “Swimming, Swimming, In a Swimming pool” each time you sing this song, you take a way a word but still do the motions and sing the rest. It can feel a little like trying to rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time!
So hit play on the video and have some fun with me! Here’s the lyrics, too, in case you want them separately:
My Hat It Has Three Corners
Three Corners Has My Hat.
And had it not three corners
it would not be my hat.
Hi, Miss Nina!
I create literature guides for award-winning books. One of the books I have used is Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School, and Other Scary Things by Lenore Look. In the book, Alvin sings the three-cornered hat song that you have recorded. I put a link up on my website so that kids can click it and follow along. I would like to have your permission to use it legally on this website.
If you would prefer, I will be happy to take it down immediately. Just let me know!
What a cute presentation you have!
Thanks ahead of time!

Hi Suzy – what cool work you do!
I’m very happy you found that video and I have no problem with you having the link on the website. The song is in the public domain, so there’s not copyright issues there – and my videos are certainly free for anyone to watch. 🙂 Thanks for writing and for including it!
