I’VE GOT ONE MORE PRESCHOOL HALLOWEEN SONG FOR YOU!
I’ve got another fun, non-scary preschool Halloween song for you this week. This one is a simple counting song with hand motions that’s great for toddlers, the preschool classroom, your Halloween themed Circle Time or for just an easy Halloween-y song anywhere you are. It’s called:
THREE LITTLE WITCHES
I love the rhymes in this one: witches, ditches, hitches – and I love the imagery of the witches flying over haystacks and sliding down moonbeams. It’s fun and easy to learn and the motions are really simple to:
BENEFITS OF USING THIS SONG
- FINE MOTOR SKILLS: Putting up those three fingers one at a time, and then holding them there is s difficult skill to learn for little hands!Activities like this develop the strength and control of the hand and fingers & supports the beginnings of a pincer grip, useful for gripping pencils and pens.
- COUNTING & ONE-TO-ONE CORRESPONDENCE: Learning our numbers and the order they go in is the beginning of our math skills, as is one- to-one correspondence – and in this case we use our fingers to represent an “item”.
- RHYMING & SPEECH DEVELOPMENT: As we know, rhyming, rhythmic talking and song are great exercises for speech and language development. And in this song we have the “itch” sound over and over again. It can me hard to say, but this song makes it fun and it’s gerat practice!
