Grab your shakers and tambourines – it’s time for a dance party!
This is a song that I love to do at Birthday Parties. Its a version of The Beatles’ “Twist & Shout”, but with lyrics changed to loose instructions on shaking egg shakers as you listen to the song.
If you don’t have any kind of shaker at home, making shakers is a fun activity to do at home.
You’ll see in the video that I put some pennies in a tupperware container to make a shaker. You can also take two paper cups and put a few pieces of pasta or rice inside and tape them together to create a shaker. You can do the same with paper plates.
And then you can decorate your shakers! Either use markers to draw on them, or some times I use aluminum foil to cover my homemade shaker and then decorate the foil with stickers.
Once your shakers are done, push play on the video and have a dance party with me!
