It is SUMMERTIME!! YAY!! I was teaching through the first week of June and now I am done and really leaning into summer! How about you?
It was a wonderful school year of a completely new experience for me. After, oh nearly 20 years of teaching toddlers and preschoolers, I taught Kindergarten through 7th Grade General Music!!
It was a really rich and rewarding experience. It had it’s challenges, for sure, but I learned a lot and I think it was just the change I needed. I’ve signed my contract to do it again next year!
All of the hard work and fun my students and I this year, culminated in a really great night of musical performances at our student showcase! Kindergartners, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School all got to perform for family and friends, and we even had a group Ukelele performance! I am SO PROUD of these kiddos!
But now…..instead of being Ms.Nina, I get to be Miss Nina for the summer!
So I’ve got a brand new video for you and some summer performances coming up, too!
Summer means getting out doing A LOT of fun things,
but it definitely takes a road trip or two to do those things…so I thought this month is a great time for THE CAR SONG:

Not only a fun song about a car – it’s a fun song to sing IN the car!
Some of you may know it as “I Gotta Car That’s Made Of Tin” or simply as “Honk Honk Rattle Rattle”. And if you don’t know it? Well, no worries! I break it down in this video – I teach the silly words/sounds and the motions, the song and then we put it all together – slow, faster and super fast!!
