Hey there – Happy Tuesday!
I hope your week is off to a great start. This week I’ve got a couple of videos for you – a brand new one that’s fun and helps us explore opposites and musical dynamics and and older one to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.
This first video, Two Little Blackbirds, became a favorite in my preschool music classes. It’s a fun song that is easy to participate in very quickly. The kids especially love when we demonstrate quiet and LOUD! – and also usually giggle during Fast and slow. You can see what I mean in the video:
What I love about this song is that it becomes a great weekly warm-u/ intro song that can be changed and adapted to fit any lesson plan. In fact, I think the first time I published a version of this I called it Two Little Turkeys to make it relevant for Thanksgiving. You can use other opposites and make up your own verses.
And secondly: March 2nd was Dr. Seuss’s Birthday – and sometimes we celebrate all month long! If you are doing that – be sure and add my original song Dr. Seuss, You Silly Goose to your celebration!
Hope the kids in your life enjoy both songs and videos and that you find them useful!
Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you in your inbox next Tuesday!
XOXO
