Well, we are nearly half way through October already – wow! time for. Pumpkin Chant! As the leaves turn color and fall off the trees my attention has turned to all things PUMPKIN! Pumpkin picking, pumpkin pie, pumpkin lattes and: Pumpkin Poems and Rhymes!
Today I have for you, The Pumpkin Chant (by Jane Wills Johnstone). This Pumpkin Chant is a simple, fun pumpkin poem that’s easy to keep the rhythm to – any way that you want! In this video I just slap my legs to keep the time with the rhyme, and in it we name all sorts of pumpkin things – pumpkin bread, pumpkin head, pumpkin cake, pumpkin shake! It’s super cute with a surprise Halloween-y ending. 🙂
I made a video of this very same a couple of years ago. But with all the busy-ness of the online world and the flood of content lately, that video has definitely gotten buried. And – now that I’m having so much fun with my backgrounds and green screen – I figured I could make a new, better version. So – here it is!
When I introduce it I say that we are doing it twice – but I actually end up doing the chant three full times! So, without further ado, here it is the perfect Preschool Pumpkin Poem for October: The Pumpkin Chant. (The words are below as well)
